Pastor Belton – Visionary Leader, Dynamic Preacher, and Transformative Teacher

Pastor Belton is the esteemed Founder and Senior Pastor of New Destiny Church and Ministries, located in the heart of Brownsville, Brooklyn. A servant-leader with a deep commitment to the Gospel, Pastor Belton lives by the empowering truth of Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.”

His academic and theological journey is both rich and diverse. Pastor Belton began his studies at Midlands Technical College, earning an associate degree in Telecommunication Systems Management with a concentration in Computer Technology. He then completed a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management from DeVry University. Answering the call to ministry, he pursued and received a Master of Divinity from Erskine Theological Seminary.

Currently, Pastor Belton is advancing his studies at New Brunswick Theological Seminary, where he is pursuing a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership, with a focus on leadership development in the context of trauma. He has also completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education through Episcopal Health Services in Far Rockaway, Long Island. He is preparing for Board Certification by the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy, after which he will begin supervision-in-training to further his pastoral and clinical education.

Professionally, Pastor Belton serves as the Director of Pastoral Care at Brookdale Hospital, where he brings compassionate leadership and spiritual guidance to patients, families, and staff. He is deeply passionate about teaching, training, and transforming both laypeople and ministers, equipping them for an impactful ministry.

A compelling communicator, Pastor Belton is known as an innovative leader, dynamic teacher, and astute theologian. His preaching style blends thoughtful, scriptural exposition with relevant, real-life illustrations. He masterfully paints vivid pictures that connect biblical truths to everyday experiences, all while maintaining the fervent, spirit-filled tradition of Black church preaching in an atmosphere of vibrant praise and worship.

Pastor Belton is joyfully married to Mrs. Thelma Belton, a powerful preacher and devoted partner in ministry. Together, they are the proud parents of two wonderful adult children, Adriane and Darius.

Meet Our First Lady
Minister Thelma Belton accepted the Lord at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in South Carolina. On August 1, 2010, she accepted her call into the ministry.
Minister Belton is a first lady who truly loves the Lord and His people.
She works tirelessly alongside her husband, Pastor Reginald Belton, to ensure that the New Destiny Church and Ministries congregation continues to mature in the Lord. Lady Belton has a gift of teaching and often uses that gift to minister to the children, teens, young adults, the women of NDCM and in the NY area. She oversees the Spiritual Gifts as well as the Give, Live, and Save Finance Classes.
Lady Belton advises the Deaconess and the Women’s Ministries as they strive to fulfill God call. It is her work with the women of New Destiny where she successfully and skillfully excels in outreach throughout the Brownsville community. She is committed to encouraging women seek out their gifts and use them to add to the kingdom of God and to fulfill their own passions.
She has successfully organized many women’s conferences to ensure that the women of God are equipped to do the work of God. Minister Belton has always believed that her first ministry is to her family. She and Reverend Reginald Belton met shortly after high school as friends who fell in love. They were later married in 1994.
Their 28-years of marriage and ministry has been shaped by their faith and friendship. Pastor and Minister Belton are the proud parents of two adult children, Adriane and Darius.
Minister Belton’s business management and Christian-based financial education has enabled her to provide seminars to the NDCM community. She has also earned her NYS Insurance License as well as eight other states.
She continues to advance her studies so that she can counsel others on the many components of insurance. Minister Belton believes that all things are possible with God and if we commit our works unto the Lord, our thoughts shall be established. It is this belief and commitment to God’s people, and her pray; that the New Destiny Church and Ministries may continue to move forward towards being an effective worship community in the 21st century.
